Our Statement About the Administration’s Recent Asylum Claim Policy Change

The San Diego Rapid Response Network (SDRRN) is appalled by the federal government’s decision to dramatically limit asylum seekers’ ability to enter the U.S. via Mexico. We believe that disrupting the asylum process because of an asylum seekers’ country of origin undermines our nation’s founding principles and turns away individuals and families seeking safety, freedom and hope.

Senate Leader Atkins Makes Case for Additional Federal Funding for Humanitarian Aid in San Diego

California Senate President Toni G. Atkins is urging U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to direct more federal funding toward reimbursing organizations assisting asylum-seeking migrants, including the San Diego Rapid Response Network.
